Implementation of Program

On the first day, between 13.30-16.45, 4 hours of theoretical lessons will be held at the Piri Reis University and on the second and third days, between 10.00-14.00, 4 hours each will be held on 2 sailing boats of the Azuree 40 type. Food and drink will be distributed to the participants at the sailboats. The participants will be given a Certificate of Participation at the end of the course.
In the theoretical lessons to be held on the first day, each lesson hour is 45 minutes and the breaks are 5 minutes

Course Objectives

Training aims to help the participants gain knowledge, skills, capabilities and courage about sailing yachts and to make the participants love sailing yachts.

Participant Features

Anyone over the age of 18 and at least a high school graduate can participate in the training.

• Sailing Yacht Navigation
• Information about Collision Regulation
• The most useful knots

• Day 2: Sailing-4h (10.00-14.00)
• Meeting at Fenerbahçe Marina
• Safety brief, yacht introduction, sail brief, assigning yacht crew tasks
• Announcing the departure from the Fenerbahçe Marina through VHF radio,
• Rope control
• Departure from the Fenerbahçe Marina using the engine
• Hoisting Mainsail
• Hoisting Genoa
• Sailing between Fenerbahçe Horn and Moda Horn
• Tacking
• Close Hauled, Beam Reach and Run Sailing
• Gybing
• Rudder control
• Preparations for return to Fenerbahçe Marina
• Furling Genoa
• Lowering Mainsail
• Clearing the sailing ropes
• Rudder control with engine power
• Anchoring training
• Announcing the method of arrival at the marina via VHF radio
• Enter the Fenerbahçe Marina and stern to docking training.
